Argus defines oppression as any unprovoked, intentional action
(and especially a pattern of action) which forcefully damages or
forcefully limits the achievements of a recipient of its effects
against his or her desire, such that the result is directly detrimental
to that recipient (especially, seriously detrimental).
Sites are judged according to:
- how well they highlight and focus on oppression by the rough
definition above
- whether the oppression is little known, and deserves additional
advertising
- whether they are the best available representation of a given
subject
- how important it is that they be seen for other reasons
- site design and layout
Updates will continue to make the links
and reviews current, and in order to list the best possible sites,
but Argus will continue to highlight no more than 100 sites (or
less,
to
maintain focus and
standards of quality).

Argus is best viewed at 800x600 minimum resolution, in a modern
